The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the top appointment. Israeli authorities have picked a new head of Mossad spy service.
"But little is known about the mysteriously-named "D" who will head-up the secretive intelligence agency," DW reported.
The "D" will replace Yossi Cohen.
Typically, Mossad names the head of the department after approval by the responsible commission, which has not happened yet.
