TEHRAN.- Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will surely visit Armenia in the near future, said Ramin Mehmanparast, Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran and Armenia enjoy friendly relations and good neighborliness and authorities of the two countries are continuously in contact,” ISNA news agency quotes Mehmanparast as saying.
The news agency writes that the exact date of the trip is still unclear.
Earlier Spokesperson for Armenian President Armen Arzumanyan said the visit was postponed by the agreement of the two sides.
