Elections can’t be held when the country is near collapse. This is what deputy of the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Mikayel Melkumyan told reporters, adding that this may lead to deepening and escalation of instability in the country.
“Prosperous Armenia Party suggests that Pashinyan resign without any precondition,” he said.
According to the MP, the parliament needs to have the chance to elect a new Prime Minister who will somehow solve the situation in the country for one year, and only after that can elections be held.
