Criminal boss Armen Kazarian, (nicknamed Pzo) charged with cheating Medicare out of $100 million, made a deal with prosecutors.
Kazarian pleaded guilty to making threats and other crimes in exchange for the light sentence, New York Daily News writes. He also admitted to being involved in a criminal conspiracy.
Federal District Judge Paul Gardephe warned that Kazarian could not appeal if he was “sentenced to 37 months or less”, the newspaper writes.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Armenian criminals and their associates used phantom health care clinics and other means to try to cheat Medicare out of $100 million, the largest fraud by one criminal enterprise in the program’s history. The operation was under the protection of an Armenian crime boss Armen Kazarian, nicknamed Pzo He was also among the first arrestees in Los Angeles.
It was revealed that Kazarian criminal drives a $350,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom, owns $600,000 California home, has gambled at least $1 million in Las Vegas, and traveled abroad. Meanwhilе, he claimed that is just a used-car broker who earns $1500 a month.
