In 2021, we anticipate dynamic growth in economic recovery of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. This is what member (minister) of the Economic and Fiscal Policies Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Timur Zhaksilikov said during the Moscow – Bishkek – Yerevan – Minsk – Nur-Sultan teleconference today.
According to him, the EEU member states overcame the coronavirus crisis with minimum economic losses thanks to the business support measures taken by EEU member states, as well as the adoption of restrictive measures at the level of the Union for protection of internal markets. “The service and tourism sectors were affected the most,” he added.
According to Zhakslikov, the development of cooperation and logistics, the elimination of obstacles and the digitization of economy are the priority objectives of the EEU for the year 2021.
