China has imposed a temporary entry ban on foreigners arriving from Canada, even with a valid work permit, Reuters reported, citing the Chinese consulate in Toronto.

The ban will not affect persons with diplomatic or service visas, the message says.

All airline passengers arriving in Canada will have to take a coronavirus test at the airport and wait at the hotel for up to three days at their own expense until the results arrive, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau said Friday.

In the coming weeks, Canadian tourists returning from the US by land will have to test negative for COVID-19 before being allowed to enter the country.
