After the Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] conflict, no changes are observed in the combat-readiness of the collective defense forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the latter’s Secretary General Stanislav Zas said at an online briefing, RIA Novosti reported.
According to him, in recent years, the Armenian Armed Forces "have shown a fairly high level of readiness" during all CSTO events, first of all during military exercises.
"It is necessary to realize that the Armenian Armed Forces are only a part of our collective defense forces. And, of course, despite the conflict [in Nagorno-Karabakh], we do not see any change in the combat-readiness of our collective defense forces," Zas said. "On the contrary, we are strengthening our forces every year."
