An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 hit the Pacific Ocean southeast of Chile's Easter Island, European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.
The epicenter was located 1,482 km southeast of the city on Easter Island - with a population of nearly 3,300 people. The hearth was located at a depth of 10 km.
There are no reports on the tsunami threats yet.
