Starting February 5, Russia’s Rosselkhoznadzor Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance will lift the temporary restrictions on supplies of tomatoes and pepper for 13 companies of the Armavir Province of Armenia in the products of which no signs characterizing the Pepino mosaic virus were detected.

The adoption of the decision is based on the results of the quarantine phytosanitary monitoring of greenhouse economies producing tomatoes and pepper that Armenia had submitted to the Russian Service.

Rosselkhoznadzor had banned imports of tomatoes and pepper from Armenia’s Armavir Province on December 14, 2020 after the Pepino mosaic virus was detected in the companies’ products.
