The World Health Organization (WHO) experts and Chinese specialists reached a number of agreements during their joint search for the COVID-19 origin.

The results will be announced later in the final report, said the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Wenbin.

According to him, their current visit is part of a global cooperation program to find the origins of the coronavirus. Chinese and foreign experts worked together despite the difficulties that arose from the pandemic. Deep and friendly consultations took place between them, based on the principles of respect for science and facts.

WHO experts arrived in Wuhan on January 14. Upon arrival, they were placed in a two-week quarantine, during which they conducted video-link consultations with their Chinese counterparts. During the visit, WHO experts visited Wuhan's seafood market, where the coronavirus outbreak was first recorded in December 2019, and a number of infectious diseases hospitals in the city, as well as the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
