Some private companies in Armenia have reached initial agreements on the export of military products. This is what Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan said in response to deputies’ questions during today’s question-and-answer session in parliament.

According to him, even though it’s still early to talk about the periods for sale of military products abroad, private investors are planning their activities and are taking into consideration exit to the external market.

The minister also mentioned that some major successes were recorded in terms of production this year, adding that there are already initial agreements with external markets and it is necessary to differentiate between complex products in need of certification and simpler products.

“To produce complex products in Armenia, it is necessary to enhance infrastructures, that is, create conditions for laboratory studies, standardization, as well as create an institute for military and state testing,” the minister clarified.
