Armenian Catholicos Karekin II started interchurch and pastor visit to Georgia with the invitation of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II and advice of the Virahayots tem on Friday.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, high ranked clergymen, representatives of Armenian communities of Tbilisi and Marneul met the Armenian delegation on Georgian border, Holy See press office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The Holy Trinity church held welcome ceremony.

“We are very glad that our entry to Georgia is so warm accepted by Georgian and Armenian believers,” said the Catholicos. “We should discuss issues concerning both sides and speak on strengthening the collaboration.”
