A court hearing against the Armenian ex-president Robert Kocharyan and other former high-raking officials resumed Tuesday in Yerevan.
The defendants—Kocharyan, former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, and former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov—are accused of overthrowing the constitutional order.
During the last hearing, Yuri Khachaturov's lawyer Mihran Poghosyan submitted a petition to cancel the measure of restraint against his client. Judge Anna Danibekyan rejected the petition.
Another motions have been submitted to challenge prosecutors and the judge herself, but have been rejected as well.
