Civic activists’ attempts to set up tents in front of the Parliament of Georgia ended with clashes with police officers, Sputnik Georgia reports.
The activists have been spending the night in tents for a couple of months with the demand for snap elections.
The clashes began after the civic activists tried to move their tents and set them up in front of the building located at the central avenue in Tbilisi. The police prevented the attempt, and this led to clashes, after which activists were arrested.
The situation is currently calm. The activists are still in front of the parliament building.
