Russia consistently raises the issue of the return of Armenian captives to their homeland during its negotiations with Azerbaijan. This is what Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian said in response to deputies’ questions during today’s question-and-answer session in parliament.

According to the minister, the Armenian authorities are working in this direction every day. As far as the Azerbaijani president’s statements on prisoners are concerned, the official Yerevan has already responded to those statements, including at the level of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“In addition, the issue has particularly been in focus during meetings with the ambassadors and foreign ministers of member states of the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as other foreign partners and representatives of international organizations,” Aivazian stressed.
