The unfair peace in Nagorno-Karabakh will lead to a new war. This is what second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan said during today’s press conference with Russian media outlets, Sputnik Armenia reports. According to him, the start of the war was due to the failure of the Armenian authorities, not the OSCE Minsk Group.
“The OSCE Minsk Group is currently a necessity, and Russia also needs it. It’s hard to say how the negotiations over the status of Nagorno-Karabakh will proceed, but international experience has shown that unfair peace can’t last long,” Kocharyan said, adding that if one of the sides doesn’t agree with the result of the war, people should wait for a new war that will break out when there are more appropriate geopolitical conditions and other triggers.
