The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) plans to send the first woman to the moon by the end of this decade. NASA representative Charlie Blackwell-Thompson told about this to CBS.

This refers to NASA's Artemis space program. In December 2020, the NASA board presented 9 male and 9 female astronauts selected for the first mission. The unmanned Orion spacecraft’s test flight could take place by the end of 2021.

As part of the Artemis program, the study of the Earth's satellite contributes to many scientific discoveries, said Blackwell-Thompson. According to her, the specialists are still gaining some new knowledge as a result of studying the samples brought to Earth by the Apollo program missions.
