The opposition Bright Armenia Party says the offer that it made to Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to hold snap parliamentary elections is outdated after the dismissal of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan.
This is what leader of the political party Edmon Marukyan told reporters today, adding that his political party showed goodwill and offered a solution to the crisis, but the offer was declined.
Marukyan also stated that the holding of snap parliamentary elections is still on his political party’s agenda.
Marukyan had offered the Prime Minister to sign a memorandum on the holding of snap parliamentary elections, but only if Onik Gasparyan maintained his position as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
