The Constitutional Court of Armenia can draw a conclusion that will automatically annul Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s decision to dismiss Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan. This is what leader of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and homonymous parliamentary faction Edmon Marukyan told reporters today.

The deputy explained that the Prime Minister’s decision will be automatically annulled, if the Constitutional Court considers it unconstitutional and that Gasparyan can be the chief again in a matter of days.

“The periods for appealing the decision of the Prime Minister may be over, but there are no periods for appealing the provisions of laws. The ball is in the field of the Constitutional Court,” he added.
