Military personnel from 50 countries and their families have been vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus, said Alexander Kshimovsky, Chief of Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Russian Defense Ministry, RIA Novosti reported.

"About 300 military representatives from 50 countries and their families have decided to be vaccinated with Sputnik V," he told Zvezda television.

Mass vaccinations of Sputnik V are carried out in the Russian army. As of Saturday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, more than 389,000 servicemen have already been vaccinated.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu had said that the Russian army had the lowest rate of COVID-19 infection in Russia.
