YEREVAN. – Intensive and active work is being done with the Russian Federation, our number one strategic partner, to restore the lost military property, eliminate the previous omissions, solve the existing problems as soon as possible, and enhance our combat-readiness. Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan stated this during the discussion of the report on the implementation of the government's 2020 program at Tuesday’s meeting of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly of Armenia.

But Sargsyan refrained from publishing data on the acquired military equipment and weapons. "The Ministry of Defense of Armenian is doing and will do everything possible to have a more combat-ready army, which will become the guarantor of our security, will be a restraining factor in case of the emergence of a threat of resumption of hostilities in the region," the deputy minister assured.
