YEREVAN. – There are no bans for food import in Armenia from any country in the world, except Turkey, representative of State food security service of the Ministry of Agriculture Babken Pipoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“There are no bans for food import of vegetable or organic origin from EU states, particularly Germany, Spain or France. Except chicken, Armenia does not import food only from Turkey,” stated Pipoyan.
In response why Armenia still allows food import from Europe when Russia and many other states have banned it due to intestinal infections, Pipoyan gave no answer. He just assured that food imported from Europe passes expertise and is safe for people’s health.
