Dozens of young White House employees have been removed from office, fired or transferred to a remote program for using marijuana.

According to the Daily Beast, the step upset employees, who were counting on initial instructions from the Biden administration that recreational use of cannabis would not result in disqualification.

In February, NBC News reported that the White House intended to drop a requirement that all potential presidential appointees be able to obtain top secret marijuana use.
