China has called on the incumbent US authorities to end the influence of the former President Donald Trump administration's policy towards China and to avoid creating new problems. This is noted in the statement of the Chinese side after the meeting in Alaska, RIA Novosti reports.

The US-China strategic dialogue took place on Thursday and Friday in Anchorage, Alaska.

In the statement released by China Central Television (CCTV) on Saturday, it is also noted that over the past few years, the former US administration has pursued an extremely erroneous anti-Chinese policy that has seriously damaged China's interests and US-China relations, and therefore China has to take appropriate and necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and development interests.
