The summit of heads of states and governments of EU member states which was scheduled for March 25-26 will be held through a teleconference due to the growing number of coronavirus cases, DW reports.

This summit is the first meeting of top EU officials since mid-2020 that needs to be held in this format.

Earlier, the EU summit was planned to be held in the existing format in Brussels, and the fight against the pandemic and acceleration of vaccination are on the agenda.

In addition, the participants of the summit intend to discuss the future of Russia-Turkey relations.
