German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, Bild reported.
The 65-year-old leader was vaccinated in Berlin at a Bundeswehr hospital.
Steinmeier said he trusts the vaccines authorized in Germany.
According to him, vaccination is an important step out of the pandemic.
