YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia issued a statement in connection with the several servicemen of a military unit being hit by a car Thursday near Aramus village of Kotayk Province.

Contract servicemen, Senior Sergeant Aram Badalyan (born in 1988) and Junior Sergeant Levon Mkrtumyan (born in 1992), died on the spot as a result of this accident, the MOD informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

An investigation is underway.

Another serviceman was taken to the MOD Central Clinical Military Hospital in Yerevan, and he is in severe condition.

The other soldiers have undergone medical examination, and then returned to place of their military service.
