YEREVAN. – Armenia celebrates June 21 as the day of doctor in Armenia. Armenian Minister of Healthcare Harutyun Kushkyan made a statement on this occasion, press service of the ministry told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I congratulate to all of us for the professional celebration. This day gives us a chance to evaluate the role and importance of a doctor in the society. People have always showed great respect to the profession of the doctor as health, which is the most important thing for a person, depends on our work.

Dear doctors, nurses and members of medical profession, our system moves steadily through the way of improvements. We have implemented many projects, like free childbirth and state certificates of children. We will continue to implement other projects as well due to your compassion and consistency. We shall achieve our goals to have better system despite many things still to be implemented,” reads the statement.
