US President Joe Biden met Friday with the head of Israel's Mossad foreign intelligence service, Yossi Cohen, who was in Washington, although talks were not previously scheduled, Axios reported.

It remains unclear whether Biden's interview with Cohen took place before or after Friday's phone call between the American leader and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the publication, Cohen informed Netanyahu about the discussion of the topic of Iran, TASS reported.

Cohen met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday. The head of the secret service expressed deep concern about Iran's nuclear activities.
