Citizen of Armenia and two Russians accused of Medicare fraud in U.S. informed the court of their refusal to plead guilty, say the documents at the disposal of Russia-based RAPSI agency.

The documents also indicate the next preliminary trial is scheduled for July 13.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Russian citizens Igor Shevchuk and Arsen Bejanyan and the citizen of Armenia Sargis Tadevosyan set up forged firms to apply for medical insurance amounting to about $3 million under Medicare program.

An investigation was launched in April 2011, while three criminals were arrested in early May. Earlier the judge refused to release them on bail fearing they would leave the country.

Earlier this month criminal boss Armen Kazarian, (nicknamed Pzo) charged with cheating Medicare out of $100 million, made a deal with prosecutors.

Kazarian pleaded guilty to making threats and other crimes in exchange for the light sentence.
