French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that the journalist who disappeared in Mali is most likely held captive by one of the terrorist groups, TASS reported.

The French national anti-terrorist prosecutor's office opened an investigation into the kidnapping of journalist Olivier Dubois in Mali. His abduction by terrorists was previously reported by Christophe Deloire, Secretary-General of the NGO Reporters Without Borders.

In his statement, he referred to a video that appeared on the Internet in which Dubois claims that he was abducted by the Jama'a Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Muslimin' group. It was created in the spring of 2017 and is associated with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.
