It is completely unacceptable to force a plane en route from Athens to Vilnius to land in Minsk, European Commission's chief Ursula von der Leyen tweeted.
According to her, all passengers should be able to immediately continue their journey to Vilnius with a guarantee of safety.
Any violation of international air transport rules should entail consequences, she noted.
