Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will propose to suspend all flights between the EU member states and Belarus at the summit of the leaders of the European Union until Minsk releases the founder of the extremist Telegram channel Nexta in Belarus, Roman Protasevich, Reuters reported.

EU members expressed outrage at Sunday's incident, when a flight from Greece to Lithuania was diverted to Minsk, and Protasevich, who was on board, was delayed.

The EU plans to discuss tougher sanctions against Minsk at a summit on Monday evening, and may also restrict land transit traffic between Belarus and the EU.
