The strange symbols of the key-shaped statue placed in Stepanakert have been dismantled. This is what former expert of Orbeli Center Andranik Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page, adding the following:

“This is how such issues are solved — short and specific. Nikol Pashinyan, don’t think we have forgotten about you. We’re going to ‘dismantle’ you from the seat of Prime Minister very soon, treacherous nincompoop. I am thankful to our compatriots with honor. The power of the Armenian nation lies in its unity.”

The placement of the key-shaped statue sparked a heated discussion yesterday. Citizens and professionals expressed concern that it not only corresponds to Armenian emblems, but also contains Muslim and other elements of worship.

Yesterday representatives of the municipal authorities of Stepanakert saw the images of the key-shaped statue and drew up records stating that the statue doesn’t correspond to the previously presented sketch that the municipality had approved.

Later, the municipality informed that, by the executive order of Mayor of Stepanakert Davit Sargsyan, all the inscriptions on the key-shaped statue are no longer visible since it wasn’t planned to place those inscriptions on the statue in the first place.
