The White House has slammed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko due to the incident related to the Ryanair plane.

Spokesperson for the White House Jen Psaki said the US condemns the ongoing repressions against and arbitrary arrests of journalists for doing their job, adding that the US demands an immediate, international, transparent and reliable inquest into the incident.

According to her, the Biden administration has discussed the possible future steps with regional partners, as well as NATO, the EU and the UN.
