Several MPs from the majority My Step faction in the National Assembly on Wednesday announced on social media that they will not run in the snap parliamentary elections in Armenia on June 20.
The political forces planning to run in these elections must submit the necessary registration documents to the Central Electoral Commission by 6pm Wednesday.
My Step MPs Nikolay Baghdasaryan and Artak Manukyan will not be on the electoral list of the ruling Civil Contract Party.
"There are no political contexts in my decision," Baghdasaryan wrote, in particular, on Facebook.
"There is no need to look for political contexts in my decision," Manukyan wrote, in particular, also on Facebook.
As reported earlier, Sasun Mikaelyan, Chairman of the Yerkrapah Volunteers Union and an MP of My Step, also made a statement about not running in the forthcoming snap parliamentary elections.
