President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan says his meeting with US President Joe Biden along the lines of NATO will mark ‘the start of a new era’ in the relations with Washington.

Highly appreciating the US-Turkey unity to settle the disagreements, Erdogan emphasized Ankara’s care for the long-time, radicalized and multidimensional union, Anadolu reports. Erdogan said Biden’s statement [on recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey-ed.] is an extra burden for our relations, but believes the meeting that we will hold on June 14 along the lines of the NATO Summit will become the start of a new era.

Based on a statement that the White House made in April, Biden and Erdogan are expected to meet during the summit to be held in Brussels in June.
