Armenian society needs to survive a post-war syndrome. The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, stated this in an exclusive interview with RBC television of Russia.

In response to a question about the results of the past year, Kocharyan stated that the war and the embarrassing defeat were the most tragic results.

“The country is currently surviving a post-war syndrome. The people must continue to live and try to find a new formula for survival,” Kocharyan said, adding that the society is certain that the country is protected and that Nagorno-Karabakh is protected.

“Throughout the 44 days of the war, the authorities were shamelessly deceiving the people, telling them that Armenia isn’t retreating and is improving its positions, and suddenly, we found ourselves in a different situation. It’s very stressful. We need to overcome this, move on and find the right formula for communication,” Kocharyan said.
