YEREVAN. – Armenian Minister on Transportation and Communication Manuk Vardanyan met with the head of World Bank Yerevan Office Jean-Michel Happi on Tuesday.
They discussed loan project that will help to solve transportation problems in Armenia.
Happi stressed the importance of the development of agriculture, which is supporting farmers, system of water irrigation, and also existence of good roads. In this framework, the sides discussed loan project in the amount of $40 million, press service of the ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The minister also noted the importance of investment in the North-South road and two highways taking to Georgian border. There is an initial agreement on investments by World Bank and European Investment Bank.
