Argam Gevorgyan, commander of the military unit in Meghri, went back to work today. This is what Mayor of Meghri Mkhitar Zakaryan confirmed during a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am, yet failed to provide further details.

An official investigation had been declared against the commanders of the military units in Meghri and Mehrab.

According to the Law on Military Service and Status of Serviceman, performance of the official duties of Colonel A. Tadevosyan and Colonel A. Gevorgyan had been suspended in the period of official investigation.

The Ministry of Defense hadn’t reported the reasons, but, rumor has it that the commanders were dismissed from service since they had refused to secure votes in favor of Pashinyan [during the elections].
