The protests in Lebanon are termless and are held until late at night. This is what Editor-in-Chief of Aztag Daily Shahan Kandaharian said during a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Kandaharian went on to say that protests are held in several cities across the country, including Beirut and Tripoli, but they aren’t massive and there are no massive clashes.

“It all started after the civil disobedience demonstrations. Citizens are in a situation that they can’t get out of. The national currency rate has dropped, the prices of goods and drugs are on the rise, and there are long lines for petrol,” he stated, noting that the situation is uncertain since the Cabinet hasn’t been formed yet.

“The protesters demand to settle the differences. They also demand the formation of the government and solutions to the issues,” Kandaharian said.
