YEREVAN. – Yerevan city hall warns of closing Facebook account of city Mayor Karen Karapetyan.

In a statement posted on Mayor’s wall, spokesperson for Karen Karapetyan said the page should not become a platform of unacceptable discussions and insults.

“We expect efficient and polite dialogue,” the message reads. 

The Mayor’s account was attacked after press and social networking websites spread reports saying stray dogs are killed by the electric current under the instruction of Mayor Karapetyan. Spokesperson Shushan Sardaryan dismissed the reports.
