YEREVAN. - Final session of inter-department committee on Armenia’s defense strategic review took place in Armenian MOD on Thursday.

The committee finished Armenia’s defense strategic review after working on it for two and a half year. The results, which are public, will be published, MOD press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The results of the review document on public awareness is on the strategic security of environment, national security threats and risk assessment, defense priorities, personnel issues, planning capabilities of the armed forces in various scenarios, as well as the vision of the future structure of the armed forces.

“Strategic review aimed to identify existing threats, to develop strategies for facing them, to provide logical connection of planning capacity and budgeting works,” Armenian MOD Seyran Ohanyan stated.

Secretary of Armenian National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan, British and U.S. experts expressed their viewpoints on Armenia’s defense strategic review.
