YEREVAN. - Armenian authorities have quite sufficient time till early September to clarify their positions and launch a dialogue in format of delegations, said first president of Armenia, leader of opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan to opposition rally in Yerevan.
According to him, this dialogue is of vital importance to the country, for it is the only way to decently respond to the external and internal challenges that Armenia is facing today.
Ter-Petrosyan stated that ANC does not perceive coming to power as its principal goal, rather it aims at creation of a legitimate power structure. In the event of fair victory of another political force at free and fare elections, ANC will congratulate it. At the same time he foresaw ruling authorities’ collapse in Arabian scenario.
“If the authorities don’t agree to dialogue in a reasonable timeline, our sole demand would be the resignation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan,” said Ter-Petrosyan.
