YEREVAN. - The main task of Border Service of Russian Federal Security Service in Armenia - secure protection of state border, prevention of violations of state border, and illegal transfer of property - was completely fulfilled in the first six months of 2011, head of Russian border guard troops in Armenia, Lieutenant-General Viktor Vlasov stated at a meeting, summing up the results of the recent 6 months.

According to Vlasov, over 150 people were detained in an attempt to cross the border illegally, 60 units of cold steel, smuggled goods to a total sum of RUR 100,000 were seized, ITAR-TASS reports.
