During a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the Kremlin, President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated him on the Muslim Kurban Bayrami holiday.
“Id Mubarak (“blessed holiday”-ed.),” Putin said in the beginning of his welcoming remarks. “Thank you,” Aliyev said in response, a little surprised and tittered, RIA Novosti reported.
“It’s the Muslims’ holiday, I congratulate you…I wish all the best,” the Russian leader added.
