Azerbaijani chief of frontier guard was killed in a shoot-out on Sunday on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border.
The incident broke out as armed men crossed the border from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, APA news agency reports.
Chief of frontier guard, Lieutenant Guliyev Rufat Firudin was wounded, he died on the road to the frontier station.
The gunman fled to the territory of Iran.
