South Korea and the US will begin their annual joint military drills on August 16, Yonhap reported, citing the JCS.
South Korea and the United States regularly hold military drills and mainly in the spring and summer, in spite of the complaints from North Korea, which labels them as an attempt to wage a war.
The current military exercises will last nine days.
