Lebanon’s newly appointed Prime Minister Najib Mikati has declared that the parliamentary elections will be held on May 8, 2022, RIA Novosti reports.
“Here [in the presidential palace] I promise that we will hold the parliamentary elections on May 8, 2022,” Mikati said, adding that he needs to continue to work on resolving the crises before the current parliament is dissolved after eight months.
