President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili has declared that she won’t grant a pardon to the country’s ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, who was arrested on Friday.

“Today many are asking if the President is preparing to grant a pardon to him [Saakashvili]. There is one simple and final answer — no and never,” Zourabichvili said during a televised address on Friday.

According to her, Saakashvili has arrived in Georgia to destabilize the situation, contrary to the words of advice of his international partners.
